About This Site

Finding a person in custody starts with one question. Which system holds them? A county jail, a state prison, and a federal lockup each keep their own records, and they rarely talk to each other. This site is a private reference guide for Franklin County. We pull those scattered rosters, locators, and contacts into one place so you spend less time guessing.

What This Site Does

Florida treats most jail and inmate information as public. Chapter 119 of the state statutes spells that out. The records exist, and you have a right to see them. The real snag is knowing where to look, because no single roster covers everyone.

Custody in Florida splits across a few systems. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office runs the local jail and posts an arrest log. That side holds people before trial and those serving short county sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections is separate. It keeps its own offender locator for people sentenced to state prison. Federal and immigration detainees show up somewhere else again, in the Bureau of Prisons or ICE systems. We gather these rosters, locators, agency contacts, and request steps so they sit side by side instead of scattered across a dozen tabs.

What You Will Find Here

The pages are built around the questions people actually ask after an arrest. Here is what the site covers.

  • Plain help for looking someone up, including jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
  • A dedicated page for each detention facility in Franklin County, with its address and phone listed.
  • Step-by-step walkthroughs for the county arrest log and the state prison locator run by the Department of Corrections.
  • How to ask for a booking record or mugshot, plus who at the county handles those requests.

What We Cannot Do

Honesty matters here, so we will be direct. This is a privately run reference site. We have no tie to any Florida sheriff's office, jail, corrections department, court, or other government agency. We point you toward the right official source. We do not stand in for one.

  • We cannot release, hold, or move anyone who is in custody.
  • We cannot post bond, set up a visit, or send money for you.
  • We cannot offer legal advice or speak to your case.
  • We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address stays current.

Only the Franklin County Sheriff's Office or the Florida Department of Corrections can confirm someone's custody status, charges, or release. We can show you which roster to check, but the official word always comes from them.

Search Partners

A few pages include search boxes run by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices, and we do not control them. If one of those tools leads you to a paid signup, the site may earn a referral fee. That fee is what keeps this resource free to use. We do not steer the results those partners return, and we cannot change what they charge.
